Mental Wellbeing Program

Mental wellbeing program

Where can we help?

We often forget how important the role of our own and our colleagues’ wellbeing to work in a well-functioning, productive organization. Where we can rely on each other and be committed to our work. Addressing our mental wellbeing is always relevant and appropriate, as it underpins many other areas – like motivation, engagement, and effectiveness. That’s why we’ve created a program to talk about issues that affect our mental wellbeing, but which are rarely talked about in the workplace.

Our Mental wellbeing program is made up of several modules, each of which can be freely mixed and matched to focus on self-awareness and individual challenges – we do not offer a fixed training program.

The training will provide participants with tools to develop and maintain their own and their team’s mental wellbeing. We will also cover how to recognize stress symptoms, what toolkits are available for coping with stress, and how to develop a satisfying work-life balance. We will explore the components of resilience, how to develop our own mental resilience and what strengths we can draw on. Emphasis will be placed on building awareness of our own sense of control so that we can deal with what we have control over. We will look at concrete practices that can be incorporated into everyday life.

The training is recommended for:

  • Senior or middle management teams
  • Managers with their own teams
  • Agile teams
  • Participants from different areas of the organization

How do we help?

We process the theories with exercises from our own experiences.

We provide tools and methods to support self-awareness and self-reflection.

We talk about topics that are not typically discussed in the workplace, providing a trigger and a model for how to maintain mental well-being in the organization.

Emphasis will be placed on participants’ own solutions, best practices,  and methods that work while providing an opportunity to share experiences.

As psychologists, we will present concrete tools, methods, and suggestions to support individuals in coping with uncertain situations.

We keep interactivity and experience-based learning in mind: we build on exercises that help engage participants and deepen self-awareness and self-reflection.

MODULES

RESILIENCE/MENTAL RESILIENCE

Mental resilience in a world of constant change must be one of the most important competencies of the 21st century. In this module, we will explore the components of resilience. We will discuss, how we can develop our own and our team’s resilience, and what strengths we can already rely on. During the module, we will also work on developing resilience using the latest findings and tools from positive psychology. With the help of specific exercises, participants can discover their resources and create an action plan to develop their mental resilience.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

We live in a dynamically changing world where the ability to react quickly to changes around us is essential. This module will cover how to be psychologically resilient. Facilitate understanding of change processes by identifying the stages of change and explore typical responses to change processes. By addressing personal situations and company-specific change processes, we aim to provide tools to support participants in successfully adapting to change and, in the case of managers, in communicating the change and getting it accepted.

COPING WITH UNCERTAINTY

The aim of the module is to equip participants with specific tools to face uncertain situations and to find ways that can work effectively for them when dealing with uncertainty. We provide theoretical knowledge and approaches that support mental wellbeing which well be put into practice through exercises based on real life experiences. We work on learning and practicing stress-relieving techniques and developing a secure self.

STRESS MANAGEMENT

In this module we will collect typical stress symptoms. Look at the difference between positive and negative stress and we will learn about and try specific stress management exercises. Emphasis will be placed on becoming aware of our own sense of control, so that we can deal with things we really have influence over. We will develop a personalized stress management toolkit that will always provide a handhold and a shield in difficult situations.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE, AVOIDING BURN-OUT

To avoid burnout, a key priority is to achieve a good work-life balance that works in the long term. This module will look at what the ideal balance is for us. Where are we now and how can we get there. We’ll look at the different levels and “gold rules” of effective recharging and create our own recharging plan. This session will also look at the early signs of burnout and how we as leaders can map our team’s wellbeing.

ADDITIONAL, PREMIUM ELEMENT

MENTAL TOUGHNESS ASSESSMENT (MTQ)

How well are you able to control situations and emotions in the face of stress or sudden change? How do you respond to challenges – do you seek them out, or are you frightened by them? What do you do when you fail? How do you feel about yourself and your abilities? How do you perform in difficult situations?

“Mental toughness is a personality trait that largely determines how individuals respond to challenges, stress, and pressure regardless of the circumstances. (Clough & Strycharczyk, 2012)

Mental toughness can influence:

  • Individual performance and thus success
  • Ambition and personal aspirations, what we feel capable of and motivated to do
  • Optimism and a positive attitude in unexpected situations
  • Personal wellbeing and satisfaction

With the help of the international MTQ – Mental Toughness Questionnaire – and a 1-hour online consulting session, you can get a comprehensive picture of your mental toughness and learn about personalized development options.
